What we collect, and why.

Plain version: we only ask for what we need to call you back about a room or a visit. We don't sell it, we don't advertise with it, and you can have it deleted by asking.

Who we are

HॐME operates two residences for women in Ahmedabad — HॐME PG at 4, Sumangalam Society, B/H Bank of Baroda, Nr. Asia School, Opposite Drive In Cinema, Bodakdev, Ahmedabad 380054, and HॐME Suites. We are the data fiduciary for anything you submit through this website.

What the forms collect

Booking a bed

Your name, phone number, email address, home city, whether you're a student or working, your college or workplace if you give it, a parent or guardian's name and phone number, your chosen room and move-in date, and anything you write in the notes box.

Requesting a visit

Which house you want to see, the day and time, who's coming, your name and phone number, your email if you give it, and any notes.

PG-owner enquiries

Your name, phone, email, the city and area of your property, its size and rough occupancy, your relationship to it, and your message.

Why we ask for a guardian's number

Because families expect us to be able to reach someone, and because residents' parents frequently want to speak to us before a move-in. We use it for that and nothing else. If you'd rather not give it, call us instead and we'll take the booking over the phone.

What we do with it

We use it to call or message you back about the specific booking, visit or enquiry you submitted, and to keep a record of the arrangement if you move in. That's the whole purpose.

We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with advertisers, brokers or listing sites. We don't send marketing you didn't ask for.

Where it's stored

In a Cloudflare database, encrypted in transit. Access is limited to the people who run HॐME.

We record a one-way scrambled version of your IP address so that we can block someone spamming the forms. It cannot be turned back into your actual address, and we don't use it to track you.

Cookies and other sites

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising or analytics trackers.

Two things do come from elsewhere: the map on the location section is embedded from Google Maps, and our fonts load from Google Fonts. Google may set its own cookies and see your IP address when those load. That's Google's processing, under Google's privacy policy, not ours.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead anywhere are deleted within twelve months. Records for residents who have lived with us are kept while they're here and for as long afterwards as we're required to, then deleted.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete it. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Email home.pg1979@gmail.com or call +91 98982 63434 and say what you'd like done. If you're a parent asking on behalf of your daughter, that's fine — tell us who you are and we'll verify before acting. If we get it wrong, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Note for HॐME The retention periods above describe an intended practice — set a real calendar reminder to actually clear old enquiry rows, otherwise this page describes something that isn't happening. Also name a specific person as the grievance contact once you've decided who that is.
